State of the Art Elevator Displays for Futuristic Dubai Apartment Block

E-Motive screens from Janus stream live TV, provide elevator and building information

Hauppauge, New York (June 26, 2007) –Ultra-chic apartment high-rise, Chelsea Tower in Dubai has installed EAVIS LCD screens from Janus Elevator Products’ elevator media line, E-Motive Display.

The full color EAVIS displays have multimedia capabilities including live links to television news feeds.  The stylish displays enhance passengers’ elevator experience in the 49 story building’s four elevators.  The screens present elevator floor number and travel direction; key information including date, time, temperature and emergency messages; and in-cab entertainment in the form of real-time television, internet, DVD and video playback.  Building personnel have complete flexibility to program desired content through easy to use MS Windows® based software. 

The displays have been a great success with guests since their installation in 2005.  A Chelsea Tower elevator engineer commented, “The displays are working well and the BBC news channel we stream is a popular feature for our guests visiting from Europe.”
