Luke Farrell joins elevator products manufacturer
Hauppauge, New York (January 10, 2008) – To increase customer support and speed turnaround, elevator equipment specialist Janus Elevator Products has appointed Luke Farrell to the newly created position of Quoting Engineer.
Farrell’s primary responsibility will be to serve as a key customer contact especially for the company’s Monitor Controls fixture line, reviewing customer specifications to develop equipment quotes tailored to job requirements. He will also support sales of the company’s elevator safety edges, phones and display products. Additionally, he will perform field surveys on future job sites as needed.
Farrell comes to Janus from printed circuit board manufacturer Photocircuits (Long Island, NY). During his eight year tenure, he worked his way up from machine operator to service engineering. Working in the prototype department, Farrell was responsible for job quoting, planning and manufacturing, often under tight three day shipping deadlines.
“Monitor has always had a reputation for quick quote turnarounds,” explained Janus Quoting Manager Paul Kersh. “Adding Luke to the team will ensure we continue to provide this fast response, even as our business continues to grow.”
